Well I decided to finally make a trip upto squamish to do some fly fishing :happy: . This was a make up trip as fridays trip got cancelled. This was also my first trip up to squamish but from what I have read it is an amazing river and I sure was not dissapointed. I arrived at just after 7:30 ( was having trouble finding my way) and made my way down to the river and threw my first cast in and nothing. I knew there must be something there as there where a couple of seals around. Second cast nothing, third cast nothing forth cast fishon. A bar crome doe to hand and gently released. I slowly made my way down river and caught 3 more in the first hour there. I then came across a beautiful spot where I could see lots of fish rising and my first cast in fish on. And then another and another and another and this continued until my arms where fried. The action was amazing :happy: for three hours straight with the longest time without having a fish on was between 5-10 min. There where not that many people there today and they where not having as much luck as I was but they where sure heading over to where I was after I packed up. I will post pics as soon as I get them up on my computer.

look for us on the Squish be near the bottom of the bar :thumbup: i will have a brown hat on and a blue jacket OH and i will also be the guy with the PUG as im bringing my dog with me ;D ;D ignore him when he narks at ya he's harmless LOL

The bottom is where I was today. The seals for some reason can not get into that slot when you are fishing it so the fish where every where down there today. It did not matter if the tide was in or out.

Hook now i have a stupid lil job to do on friday! I'll level the floors around 8am and try to be on the squish by 9:30 10 am if th traffic co-operates! I'll find ya i'm thinking slamdunk wants to go as well! Slamdunk i'll phone ya later today!

you do know how to get there right CK? if not call me befoer you hit the McDicks in Squamish as you need that left i will be middle to bottom of the bar but from what it sounds like i may be the only one there LOL wont have the dog as someone else i know was there today and had some bear company dont need my little guy getting eaten or used as floss

well you were right HR water was coloured so I went up near the Mam and fished the edge of clear water hitting the slighty muddy water of the Squamish and i hit lots they were going retarded for green/silver fly

alot were getting coloured but there was still some chromers in there

Yeah the back up of pinks looking for spawning grounds is now at the mouth of the Mamquam and starting to push down through the Squish. So a few more coloured fish around for sure. I talked to a guy yesterday whi said they slayed them on green silver flies and another guy who must have hooked twenty while I was there on pink. It drove me nuts cause I was fishing above him and below him, and hardly a sniff for me.And after he left I went to his spot and still nothing. Oh well I guess it makes up for all those good days.Nice to hear you had a good day out there!

ya i think she is pretty much finished up there as i saw a couple spawned out floaters rolling down in the current today and man they looked like they spawned well over a month ago !!! they must go in and spawn and die pretty fast in those systems eh? I will be going more local from now till the Chum arrive ;D;D
