Not much happening down at the mam confluence. Lots of seals in the river but not to much rolling going on (only saw one). talked to a local who said the seals are grabbing springs. the seals were all hanging out right in the middle of the deepest channels so i'm guessing what fish there are, are firing right up the middle at high speed maybe a big spey swing could floss one. This local kid said he'd been swinging flies all week on the bar and only hooked one spring which came in with seal bite out of it's tale. The water color was perfect I think i would of seen some hook-ups but no one was out there except a few die hards not nearly. a lot of people comming up and asking if the chum gong has rang yet, I'd say at least another 2 weeks.

This is not looking good! There should be lots of fish in there by now. More and more it's looking like a repeat of last year or worse. Let's hope not but I'm not too optimistic but always hopeful!

there seems to be a decent number of chum in the vedder already, i see that as a good omen, i'm still hopeful.

A little early to push the panic button yet I'd say but after last year I guess its alright to be a bit alarmed. :hmmm:
