just a short note about a weekend jaunt to the Stamp.river has certainly quieted down, with low and clear water.fresh fish are still entering the river, but finding them not easy.average was 3 or 4 hookups per boat. did much better in the upper on Saturday. drifted from the hatchery to the campground, a dozen hookups on jigs, and plugs. landed 4 fish, all on jigs, could not get a hookset on plugs. yes, a couple of fish were stripers, and one kelt, but landed a nice chrome doe just above the falls. fish all fought agressively, and weather was great. as usual, guys at Murphy's were awesome.
