water was high and colored ,started at the slide , hooked 2 winters and by the time we reached the bucket we had hooked another 5 fresh fish .With the forcast I dont recomend fishing the lower, unless you fish the somas. With the rain we had today it was pretty tough fishing by 12 oclock . the clay banks shit the bed and the water came up a foot.keep your rod up !

I walked up from stamp falls last wednesday and the big clay bank on the corner was a little scary looking and sounding like she wanted to let go

yea theres another large bank above that one . If you get above those right now you might have some clean water. The freezing level is low so I dont think the ash wont be a problem , just need a boat. If this rain holds off I might do the upper with waterwalker tomarrow . the weather forcast has been so off latley who knows? Anyway good luck , tight lines!

Love it when that happens. Time to break out the plugs and rubber worms and fish close to banks downstream. Something about fishing not knowing where your presentation is and then getting hit hard!

Can't wait until early March.
