Ya there are steelies, that river picks me for those darn fish, i fish in between the bridges and many times I've stood on the rail bridge piling casting towards the car bridge and had steelies follow it right to me but never caught one yup never, but I can say they are there.

I've never caught one, but every year for the last 10 years or so, they have been putting 10 000 yearlings in there. The problem is the size of the river, the fish are hard to locate, but I have heard of quite a few people getting them.

the best places to hunt for steel "from what i've heard" is to go to the toilet bowl and go to the left

have never tried the Stave for steel but have thought to either as i do farely well at the Vedder

The stave is a good producer on the right week in the early spring . I have been lucky to have many multi steelie hookups :p. I put my pontoon in up at the dam and float to the top of each run and work it all the way down, hop back into the water float down to the next fresh run and start drifting again. When your in a poontoon and in the middle of the river you are alone, iam the only person i have ever seen in a pontoon while i was there in mine (not including sept&nov).but it seems to me the same week every year is the only time i have caught fish there ???
