Took out a couple buddies from Onterrible today. Nothing happening on the Stave system. Booted up to the mouth of the vedder. Saw lots of dead pinks floating around. Caught one jack spring. Dinosaur fishing was way better than salmon today :beerchug:

Still two weeks too early for the Stave I guess.
Was surpised that we didnt see more boats on the water today. Figure most people would have been fishing the harrison system. Stop and checked by the police. Nice to see them out there. Did the usual safety check and let us go

Just wondering what safty check they did on you. I have a 14' welded aluminum that was a home build and I have not sent away for my capacity plate. I have all the safty gear you need. Like a bailer plus bildge, life jackets,1 oar, floating line, anchor, flares, fire ext, whistles and horns everything in the book. Just have to send away for the cap plate and hp rating. Dont know what kind of crap you get into without it. Anyhow maybe I'll post this in the boating.

They asked to see my safety equipment so I showed them the orange bailer package with throw rope, flashlight and whistle. Then they asked if i had enough life jackets said yup showed them all. Asked to see the fire extinguisher. Asked about the boat's registration. They didnt ask to see the capacity plate, but my boat's not a home built...
Checked the rods to see if the barbs were pinched :)
