Fished the Stave on the west side Hard to park with so many cars . Vis about 3feet. Chum were all over with 95% dark . Hit fish all day but could not get a fresh one .Fished the streams with another few fly rods and did not see a clean fish . Bit of a gong show the way the fish were treated and people going after the dark fish

Stave river Oct. 26

I floated a bunny jig near the Toilet Bowl and kept two nice male chums for smoking. They were showing bars but other than that were very clean. Fins and bodies in good shape and flesh firm . Played several fish and they were hooked in the mouth. One got off when he bent the hook on my jig. Still lots of snagging going on but several nice cohos were caught in the quiet water. The crew from Inch Creek seined the Bowl and took out some beautiful coho and chinook. Weather was great and it was not too crowded.

It was nice to see some of those coho yesterday although it would of been nicer to see one or two of them on the end of my line. Chucked flies in the bowl until the hatchery showed up. They actually released all springs and jack springs. Apparently they now have their quota for their brood stock for coho. There sure where some monsters for coho and some huge springs well over 30lbs.

Yea roscoe that sounds just dandy but once again means that the idiots ruin it for the rest of us, I sometimes toss spoons and spinners in there for the Hoes and loose enough of them already. :wallbash: I am not made of $$ so at 5or 6 a pop well :pissed:
