I was working in kilby last week, and was talking to a local guy. He said that he has been catching steelhead in the river. Can this be true.

I had an excessive amount of water pumped from a station one winter, went skiing at Cypress
and had to have the vehicle towed back down to the nearest shop to be thawed out. Cost me
over $400.oo beans or should I say the company in question that must give a water content
report on demand by anyone..... ;)

Hey Jefferson, you did not catch pinks, those were 99% sockeye salmon of which there are loads still spawning.
Often people think the fish they catch in the harrison with the red stripe are steelhead, these are sockeye, the big males can also resemble coho with a ball nose kype.

I am interested to hear the technique you used to catch your fish?, please share.

I was reading an article in BC Outdoors about bb for steelhead, I was using the technique they talk about. I had 1/4oz weight, 24" leader and a golf ball size hunk of pink procure roe. I did not feel the weight touch the bottom that much but the fish were hitting it.

Steelies hitting it? Did you hook up at all or land anything?
