It's in Richmond. Follow Rd No2, cross Steveston Hwy, then you get lower Fraser and see the island.
I've heard there is good spot for chum (when fish is there)
there is a boat launch there but you must watch the tide. it goes very shallow there and you do not want to wait for the tide to come in. i use it for duck/geese season some times.
Do not cross the break water. Every year some fool attemps that and gets sucked down.I have been fishing Shady for 10yrs and highly reccommend you get a boat if possible and go that way. The breakwater can be very dangerous.It looks innocent but really isnt ,strong current even at a foot or so.
take his advice and do not cross the breakwater as a few years back 4 chinese students went across at low tide and all drowned trying to get back. there are large signs there now and believe what they say.
