I don't know where you are on the island, but I grew up in Campbell River, and the lakes around there were productive well into November. The colder it got the brighter my flies became, and I usually got fish. Good luck.
Still water fishing in Oct and Nov
Wondering if there are any oppurtunities for still water fishing (trout and bass) during Oct and Nov? Haven't really fished that time of year but have an itch to give it a try.

Thanks for info ambler. Looks like I will have Saturday to myself so might head out with the float tube and try my luck around the Nanaimo area.
