I just bought some fresh salmon roe and am wondering how long i can store it in the fridge/cooler with ice.

I wasn't planning on curing it, but would that help it last longer?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

If you freeze it your done..when it de frosts it will be gooey and not take curing very well...(Yeah I know I have done it before yada yada...and that batch caught fish..) but it was nothing like fresh roe cured immediately..Only roe I will get and freeze are the single eggs from Berrys for roe bags...

This may sound funny but one of the reasons I prefer fly fishing to guts is I hate fishing the sheeit...That said, I really kind of got off on doing the cures and stuff...Was like being an alchemist and coming up with different batches...some worked wicked good too...Oh well...
