Hey Luker,
I was up in that area 2 weeks ago or so and fished a number of lakes, including Peter Hope (but not stump). the fishing was pretty good and caught a handful of 4-5lb 'bows. trolling the west side of the lake along the large flats was really good. both fly and gear worked, fish were caught on wooley buggers in black and red and on a rooster tail. the fish hit hard too, lots of fun. other lakes to consider in the area are roche, fish the the south end where the shoals are (beware this is a popular and busy lake). i trolled a drop off between the boat launch and the resort and ended up with a 6 lbs lunker. tunkwa is supposed to be good although it too is a bit crowded. morgan lake is a trophy lake because it is strictly catch and release. catching 3-4 lbs is commonplace and apparently there are larger fish in there too.

I've heard there is some big fice in stump lake,..but they can be pretty tough to catch.

Stump lake was having some major issues with PH in past years due to excess draw down, and as a reusult the fish were not doing too well... The last time I drove by, it looked better, but is still not full.

You may want to focus on other lakes for better success for the time being...

just got back got 6 kokanie and a couple trout. Some really big fish taken out of there. biggest i saw on the weekend was 5 pounds
