I'm heading over to Pender Harbour for a weekend away from reality and was wondering if anyone had information on what the fishing is like there and where to go. I have heard that bottom fishing is closed. This true? Also heard salmon fishing is decent now, any tips? locations? What about crabbing and prawning?

I'm not familiar at all with the area, so any advice would be most apprecaited!

ALso try searching through the archives as there was a guide service/fishing reports site that was posted up on here some time back. It may have some more recent info.

I`m from pender harbour but am now living in Vancouver so I don`t know what the latest report is. Try stopping at trail bay sports in Sechelt, they use to keep up on the fishing reports. Crabbing is usually good in Garden bay or Bargain bay. Prawns is good of Francis point. If you drop prawn traps off Francis point stay close or the traps will dissapear.


The south end of Texada use to be my favorite place for Salmon in the Spring.
