Anyone have any info on what is happening around terrace right now as far as coho or steelhead are concerned. Or any salmon species for that matter.

Thanks, Nates

the return has been weak enough that the town of Smithers is going to try and pressure the goverment to curtail more of the commercial fishing in July/August next year. Over 20 guys including guides on the lower Bulkley near the mouth of the Suskwa one day this past week for no fish. Phone the local tackle shops up there and you will find lots of dismal reports and they usually try to talk it up to bring in fishermen.

Went to kitimat for a couple days . first day it was a little slow then around 2 hours from high tide it was on fire for about 3 hours after. i was drifting tiny gobs of roe down center of the hatchery pool and it was just a steady flow of fresh chrome fish . they were just tapping lightly in typical coho fashion but the hits were steady and they were all chrome 10lb average . the guys using spoons weren't fairing as well . they were hitting so light you had to be right in your float but it was really fun . the nest day it was stone dead, only saw a few fish hooked but we missed the high tide. if you heading that way and its slow don't dispare wait for the high tides and it can change in a hurry
