Around 600 steelhead made it to spawn in all the tribs of the T last year, a part of the MoE message is pasted below the rest can be found here:

"Spawner abundance assessments for the 2009/2010 return of Thompson River steelhead were recently completed. A total of 590 steelhead were estimated to have spawned this past spring (Figure 2, Graph A). The estimated 95% confidence interval is 450-890. This is the lowest spawner abundance record in 27 years of monitoring and similar to last years’ estimate. This abundance is much lower than the predominant brood year abundance of 2400 steelhead that spawned in the spring of year 2005 and whose progeny migrated to sea in 2007. Similarly, Chilcotin River steelhead also returned in record low numbers and at a very low rate relative to its predominant brood year abundance. The very poor rate of return of 2007 Thompson and Chilcotin steelhead smolts is consistent with the poor rates of return observed in many Fraser salmon stocks that smolted and migrated to sea in 2007 (e.g. 2009 Fraser sockeye)."
