Hi all.

I'm thinking of heading up to Kamloops this weekend and doing some fishing on the Thompson on the way there and back.

Advice solicited:
- Anyone know if the fishing is any good at this time of year? Would I be better hitting a lake?
- Do fish bite all day, or are there time windows (i.e., dawn, dusk)?
- Wet or dry? Any suggested patterns/sizes?
- Any good spots for big fish you'd recommend?

I was out for a day near Ashcroft last year. Fished mostly Tom Thumbs and had no action until dusk, when things went nuts and I caught about a dozen in an hour. I don't know if this is typical, so I'd appreciate any advice.

Regards,

Eric

From my years of experince, they don't like bright sunlight. Work mornings, evenings, shadows, and overcast days. All my largest fish have been caught well after dark in the backflows close to shore.
