Going up to the Thompson River this weekend at Juniper Beach and above. Any suggestions on what to use? I will be fly and/or gear fishing.

Hey 'sam.............I just returned from the area on the weekend and I have to say, the Tommy is as high and coloured as I have ever seen....The Frog rock in the middle of the river ("Jaws of Death" to the rafters) is completely covered. The water is right up to the train bridge at the mouth of the Nic and absolutely no one was fishing theNicola or the Thompson...If you plan to set foot nearby, I would be wearing a lifejacket, and treating the river with the utmost of respect...........Ortho 8)
