Well said Nicole.
BCNewbie...As Nicole stated, Those T coho have been in a lot of trouble for a while now, hence the closure. All the other species seem to be going the same route. It's a sad state of affairs. Many of us who fish the T even go to the extent of trying to avoid posting about it in the public section of the forum because
we fear that those who have no respect for the rules that govern our sport might get some crazy ideas...particularly if we start speaking of bohemoths...
Now, you wouldn't have known this being new to BC, and we certainly understand that. I'm sure as you get to know the river, you will start to see why so many are concerned. Last year I found a dead female coho on the beach, cut, cleaned and
poached despite the obvious conservation concern...it was posted in one of the more private sections. It's great that you are showing an interest in the T, it needs more and more people like yourself who care about protecting it and conserving the stocks...
I think we need to get your post count up so you can post in the less public sections... ;D If you're wondering about this or that, or have more questions I'd be happy to help via pm, and I'm sure Nicole would oblige as well...
Cheers.
