I don't know if the rest know about this but I was given a petition to stay the Tsawwassen treaty and the like until a public inquiry and consultation is done. I am not 100% up to speed on exaclty what the treaty does but I do know it will all but kill the sport fishery and fish allocation for anyone besides first nations. Then the ramifications of this treaty going through are huge with the rest of the treaties waiting to be signed could devistate sport fisheries and apparently hunting oppourtunities all over the province. I have them at the shop if anyone is interested in signing and if there is anyone out there that could shed some more light on this that would be great.

Something has to be done....with a close related family member being a part of fisheries, He says within 10 years DFO will pull out of the west coast and fish allocation will be handed to the natives through these treaties, well its allready started, Provincail fisheries will not take responsability for the managment of the west coast stocks (which I would like to see) because of lack of power with the natives, yeah Im talking all the stocks
