Trip to Tofino/Ucluelet First time...

Hello!
First post at this forum.
My wife and I will be making a first time and last minute trip to Vancouver Island in the coming weeks.

Just a few questions, we'll be spending three days in Tofino and one in Ucluelet...

I've looked at most of the guides websites and haven't yet enquired about openings but plan to do so. Do you think we're too late for a guided trip? We're talking in 2 weeks roughly..

What I really want to do is a little fly fishing, or even some casting instruction with a guide for both my wife and myself.

My other question may be a little obscure, but lets say we wanted to do a little exploring/hiking and looking for possibly a stream/river to drop a few flies in... Can anyone reccomend or point me in the right direction?

Jay is the best guide in Tofino/Uki...period.

I have fished with him several times and have always done great.

Check out his website... it sounds like he might have room available this month on the salt.

Yeah,
I've had an email or two back and fourth with Jay.

I have also talked to a few others. Just trying to figure out what the wife and I want to do and book it.
