Hi Guys:
Cannot find info anywhere? I know steelhead is catch and release in the Cap. How about other species of Trout if there are any? Can you keep them?
Thanks!

I've seen it happen before where some uneducated fisherman have mistaken steelie and salmon smolts for trout and have bonked them! :wallbash:

Not too many, if any, trout at all in this river. If you need a trout fix you may have to go else where, but of course if that's the case then the coho's running right now is the answer.

Right on you caught one of the few that come back, fishing must be excellent for the 40 summer steelhead that return. :pissed: :pissed:
Do you know that only 40 summer runs return per year? And steelhead do get caught by fishing for coho so i'm missing the point of this? I didn't know it was bad to hook a steelhead while fishing for bluebacks in the cap! I myself would love to hook a summer run in the cap! Wouldn't you?
