Wind warning downgraded!!!! I will be hitting the chuck tomorrow, anyone else going out? Hopefully be out at the bb for mid-morning and then move over to the cap for a while.

Got out to the Cap at 2pm, fished in the crowd for awhile, saw 4 fish hooked. Moved over to the bell and trolled till 7:30. 1 small shaker.

Trolled bell 5:30 to 8pm. Lots of jellyfish and sweed messing up the lines today. Nothing hooked other than that.

Hey BCI. Im heading out of mcdonald late this afternoon when Im done work. What boat are you in? Thinking of plugging around t10 maybe down to sand heads. where you heading?

Depends on the winds - if it's not too bad I'll go to T10 but if it's blowing I'll try my luck along the West Van shoreline. Some reports of springs in there - I wonder if there are any coho left or if they're all gone up the river now?

Re: Vancouver salt- Sept 11/08

Boo! Skunked for the first time in a while.

Hit the cap for 1.5 hrs but didn't go to the mouth since there were about 12 boats fighting for position. Stayed near the pink apartments and the dock there but only got into a couple grilse. Some red jelly's and that's about it.

Motored over to the QA and trolled in to spanish banks. Not much going on there either.

Didn't see anyone boat a fish in the time I was out, but I hear that there were some fish taken from T10 this morning.

Anyone else try their chances today?

I was out today, left the house got to the launch at Ambleside not early enough to make the tide and could not get the boat into the water with out putting the truck into the water ....so it was off to horseshoe bay .... lines in the water by 7:15 am off the point grey bell buoy. Worked that area with an anchovy on one side and a white hootchie on the other for about 6 hours , worked those lines from 30 feet to 65 feet back and forth between the bell and the QA .....no action at all....beers were cold ....all and alll nice day on the water

Fished the West Van shore Cap mouth from noon to 6 : 15 pm, 4 rods, nothing. Saw between 12 and 24 boats, only 6 taken that whole time.
Some guys had morning success off T10 first thing this morning. Still pretty slow, where's those big whites??

just got in tonight. fished the the mouth off the north arm. didnt get out til around 430 and dropped the lines as soon as we got out. had a nice size on but lost it. one other boat was out there but thats all i saw. what a beautiful night eh!
