The white spring fishery off the West Vancouver waterfront is now in full swing. Fishing has been slow since the last push of fish between the 12 to the 17th of September. The last couple days have shown a little improvement. Yesterday morning the traffic was pretty heavy but there was over a dozen fish landed. A couple nice ones as well. We landed one in the mid 20s and another charter boat in the Firemans Derby got one close to 30lbs.

The bulk of the fish having been coming on the anchovy/ flasher combo. There has also been a few hit on whole herring as well. Most productive depths have been 70-95 feet on the flooding tide. There has also been the odd chum starting to get hit as well.

The fishing should and hopefully improve into the first week of October.
