I decide to hit the river as i was on the late shift
got there at first light and one guy was at the run
nothing doing for the first 30min
then we were joined by another guy
About another 30min or so some fish started jumping and one shot up the shallow rapids
Then just as i thought it was going to be not a good day for this run down goes my float
fish on i say and the two guys move aside
The fish takes a run down river then quickly turns back towards me
I reel in fast then it turns again and snap goes my 8lb leader :wallbash:
Lots more fish jumping by then but nothing wanting to bite
I tried a blade for a while but just got hit by small trout
I tried another run where there were fish jumping but nothing
Then it was time for home
The river looks so good right now
not too low and a bit of color
I got my hook up on a wool tie that i made to look like a single egg
light pink, then salmon color then light pink sandwiched in the bait loop then cut into a round shape
Hope this rain doesn't dirty the water too much :wallbash:
Hope someone will keep us up to date with conditions(EveryDay) so i can get out there next week
