Metup with Flyguy this morning for firstlight, Our first stop was the upper river, really nice water but nothing to be had, saw lots of sockeye rolling around, after that we decided to hit the back side of tamahi and work our way down to the end of the road, still didnt see much going on,

Went to the River rafting area, I rigged up a procured prawn and let her go, float goes down like a rocket and nothing but a bare hook, litterly after that flyguys float comes in the zone where i got my hit and he connects with a nice big sockeye. Flyguy hooked 2 sockeye and we saw a big spring roll around in close, that was all for there as well.

After that we decided to go back up to allison area, we get there and there is 2 guys there with lots of weight and with (3.5 Ft leaders LOL !!) The 2 of us couldnt even get a decent drift with these guys beside us. I decided to move up fished the upper run for a bit ahead of these guys, then here a whistle behind me and its the rafting crew coming down river, this guy operating his raft was so ignorant, he was yelling at me coming down river that i was in his way and he wanted to park his boat right where i was standing ::) :wallbash: I couldnt belive it. this guys has a huge long stretch of water to park his boat but NO !!! has to be right where im standing. After a few words were excahnged between myself and the operator of this chilliwack river rafting boat we decided to give wilson road a try but nothign much going on in there either, high fast water...

Didnt hear of many fish being hooked today from others, it was damn hot out there.

How did the rest of you that went out do ?

it was only 3.5 foot leader :p

one of those two guys was me >:D We tried all today prawns ( using your suggestion for loop, thank you), row and wool under float, no takers, 2 sockeye and 1 jack spring jumped close by. (another 1 sockeye and 1 spring jumped early in the morning when we fishing area just a little bit higher on the rock.)

Then we saw few guys in the morning on that rock using betties and we decided to give that a try, in 5 minutes I hooked into jack spring and when it was close to a shore it decided to get off my hook  Then in few minutes you guys came and I am sorry if we were in your way, however you guys had enough space for drift, don't you.

I guess it just happen to be a rest area for rafters, they were stopping there all day today, and we gave up and had fun swimming because it was VERY VERY HOT today
Cold water is very refreshing

Fished the upper river today. Threw some roe and prawns, but no takers. Saw a jackass land a sockeye today. Before you knew it he had his hands in it's gills. He was promptly told of of his error but to late. Dead fish. Idiots.

We also found a fresh sockeye head today rolling down the river at our feet, why can't people jusy obey the rules. There seem to be soooo many socks around right now that I guess people dont think the run is in trouble. If you see someone killing one, take out your liscence (has phone number to call on it RAPP #) and phone them in. Take pics if you have a camera.
