SteelieTrav, Marko and I fished mid river today, Intermitent snow or rain most of the morning, nice clearing in the weather towards the end of the day.
Water levels and clarity were more than adequate, saw a nice deer run up a side channel towards me, leap right into the not so shallow tailout of a deep run and proceed to swim through some rapids to the other side of the river!!! Must've been within 30-40 feet of me...I think Steelietrav will have a few pics turn out, hopefully he'll post them here in the near future...what a great show that was! ;D

Didn't see or touch any fish today, scoped out more of the river...found a good deal of good water. Weren't a lot of fishermen up where I was today, so lots of water to ourselves...
Checked out another clay bank that's actively silting the river, below this, visibility somewhere around a foot, maybe a bit more...

All in all a great day,

Rib

We didn't see any deer, but we did get my buddy into his first Vedder Steel. 7.5lb bar of chrome. Hatchery. Also missed a couple hooksets do to rust I guess. Got back a couple shredded roesacks for my efforts!! ;D ::) But was a great day, and man, by 11 am were we ever cold. Finally gave in when I couldn't really hold the fishin rod anymore. Think I will wear some gloves tomorrow!! ;)

FishFreak nice fish man! Your first of the year good job! I can see how someone might mistake that for a wild but i'm sure from reading all your posts from the other fourm you know what your doing! Are ya gonna bring some of that humor over here to BCFR? I say that because your quite the funny guy over on fishBC or is it FWR? Your posts are quite enjoyable!

I was on the river yesterday too, and no luck!! :'(

Probably, some one saw 2 asian guys on couple of spots, and I'm one of them.

I've done short floating for salmon for couple years, but it was my first time for steely.

As I expected it wasn't that easy~ haha~.

Anyway, I learned lotsa stuff from fellow fishermen on the river yesterday~!!

However, I still need to learn hella many tips for steely!!

Please let me know~!! Any information would be appreciated~!!

Cheers~!

bravo~!!

Might see you out there tomorrow Ribwart. I'll be the guy in the black and purple shimano jacket, fishing with a black float reel. I'll be fishing by myself as usual come over and shoot the shi? if you see me. If not good luck and look forward to hearing how you made out.
