my dad and I were out monday. We started under the KW bridge hoping to get a coupel early so we could go home and back to bed seeing as we were both afternoon shift today (me for the next 3 weeks still) We did manage a double header in the first few casts down in the tail out of the run. I hit mine first and it took me down through the shallow water and then i heard him yell double header. They were a mating pair im sure because i had the doe and he the buck, they also came out of the exact same piece of water. after that it died so we left and went to a spot that has produced consistently for us (me especially) We fished through the top run NOTHING, first through the next slot and again nothing, I knew there was fish there but where. I tied on a blade so i could do a wider search for fish and work the water faster. About 3 casts in WHAM!! fish on and it screams downriver and goes airborne a few times so i start chasing it, then it turns back up quickly which threw me off a bit, Then she decided to give me a show of her abilities and with a couple huge leaps into the air she tossed my blade right back at me releasing herself back into the chilly depths of the Vedder river :beerchug: It was a gorgeous day out there today and to shake hands with a few fish made it that much closer to perfection.
Sorry boys no pics this time because the fish we got this morning were wild and we didnt want to stress them more than they already were. not to mention that i released mine alone because i had no help and my dad just plain said NAH let him go. They are our memories and we will remember them forever (or at least till the altzeimers kicks in)

Ha, goes to show how well I pay attention to the details :
I was just asking because I though he said he was going to be using the fly down there for a while. Not that it matters though.

well on my weekends days where i am out for more than just a couple hours i will probably be using my fly gear however on my weekdays before work i will be using my CP setup because im there and back home in about 4hrs :beerchug:

glad to hear about the no pics and not stressing the fish out 8)
If only someone would invent a camera that was small enough to fit on your head with a cord hanging down to take quick pics of what you are looking at(or has someone done that) :wallbash:

ha ha ha Britguy i think they invented a head camera like your talking about but it was like the 50's or something and wasnt small by any means.
And Prof the reason i mean its faster is because i dont have to put my rod together then put on the reel then string the line through all 14' and finally tie a fly on, And after all that im ready to walk down and fish. Its just to much hassle when im out for a couple hrs O0 O0
