Hey guys was down by the river today, thought I would take a couple pictures so you can the current water levels and color. It shouldn't be long now! You can bet with this latest water, it will push in some early fish! :)

Thanks for the pics, I went down this morning to have a look and get an idea how much longer we'll have to wait. Went to snap a couple of pics but my battery was dead. Had a good walk from the bridge down to Lickman and back.

Was out this morning for a short while, water was a bit high but clarity on the upper was decent, and fished a bunch of the lower areas and the water was just perfect for my liking about 3 ft vis. Snowing lots on the upper, everything is covered and started snowing on the lower as i was leaving

Couldn't sleep for some reason this morrning to i desided to hit the upper river grabed the old fishing pole and headed up! Snowing when i arrived first light but i knew there was some steel around! Hooked 4 coho 3 wild and one in great shape for a hatchery so i kept her! I was using roe all morrning managed one hookup with an unknown fish! Once hooked it bolted and never got a chance to see it! almost ripped the rod right outof my hand! Went down river a bit to a spot marko and i found a few weeks back, but while walking down the trail i spotted a bear about 200 ft ahead of me so i turned around and walked back to the truck being alone and seeing that in the bushes is unreal! Wish i brought my camera it was a big one! Went down to the tamahi bridge and walked up the north side and tryed a few spots with only 2 hook ups one chum real stale and one bright red hatchery coho! Snow was still comming down so i desided to leave, the tires on the truck are not that great for snow! Good day seen quite a few coho and chum on the side channels more than i expected to see thats for sure. Now i'm gonna try anouther stream thisafternoon see what else i can find. Good day very white out there! Conditions were a bit on the high side but the clarity was good upper was over a foot, lower was just under that!
