I had a decent day to say the least, it took some luck and alot of skill to loose 5 of my 7 fish. All but the 2 i landed went aireal! Jumping like crazy, hooked into a chromer chum that jumped 6 times before i lost her. 5 springs 2 chum

Nice doe, that is her colour after being dead for 45 minutes, she was CHROME, transparent fins when i landed her.

And a fairly fresh buck that went back into the river

Cant forget about dad he managed to land a few fish, and kept a bigger doe

Un-cured spring roe, its being made right now as we speak

Nice fish YG. you sure can tell the difference between a weekday and the weekend on the river, the last three mornings me and two other fellows had two nice runs to ourselves at first light, this morning there was 14 guys in one and 11 in the other. On a positive this whole week out I only ran into 3 different guys long leadering in the area's I worked through. Everyone else seems to be pounding bait and hardware on decent leaders.  Nice to see though it is still early.
Cheers,
Crazy D

Nice job YG. I hit the river too and started at the lower end. Boy - talk about busy! I managed to land a nice 2 - 3 lb coho jack and was on my way to landing another when a guy beside me casts out, hooks my leader in mid air during the cast, and goodbye coho! :wallbash: He was very apologetic and stated he was new. No problem - although I guess I would have been a bit more upset if it was a 10 lb coho! Anyway, I hooked and lost a big buck chum (which was intentional) and lost a spring at the beach. We took off and checked out other spots and I managed one other nice coho jack. Nice day to scout the river. Btw - the water is getting pretty clear...

honest to god, i saw 4 guys all day today other than me and my father, so it wasn't all that busy. I've been using 8lb and a #1 all week and they hit it just fine, big gear doesn't work for vedder fish.

The guy looked pretty worried when you told him that the next fish he catches is yours, for causing you to lose your jack ho lmao
