i thought today would be the lucky day for me....i was able to aquire some of Steelie99's deadly cured roe and tied up some beauty bags last night in anticipation....hell even the girlfriend put on the waders at 5:30am and we were off for what was supposed to be a day to remember.....we fished our top 5 spots and the water was just awesome....there were lots of guys out so we decided to go a little off the beaten path....at one point i saw 9 guys behind the jail fishing that pool....was that you fishey throwing hardware??? saw one caught in this area....but we were skunked for today....oh well the quest for the elusive first ever steel continues...lets hope the rain doesnt get too crazy....if not we'll see ya out there tomorrow!!

Sounds like you guys got lucky weather wise today! It's miserable in Poco right now, I would expect the river to be pretty close to blown tomorrow with the amount of rain coming down right now.

That roe is almost unmatchable, quite the recipe. Steelie 99, your going to have to hook me up with some of that soon ;)

Surprized to hear that the river was still in shape. I figured that vis would be way down, so I decided to hit a small local stream for the first time. I managed to get a small wild hen about 6 lbs, it was a great looking fish, no marks on it at all and really solid, and still super bright. Hope to hear some more reports from the vedder today. :) :)

50 + mm of rain in the next 24 hrs predicted :eek: River should be tough to fish tomorrow. I also hit a smaller, more local stream today and lost a nice looking fishy. Good luck to all who venture out tomorrow, and let us know how it goes.

that was me fishing hardware in behind prison ;D. i switched up to spoons, then back to my pin and so on and so forth. my partner beside me got a 12lb. wild. we left after about 20mins after him landing his fish, then went down river a little farther and i lost 2 fish on roe, then down to the lower, and lost one on a spoon on my 2nd cast :p. i usually never fish spoons, but for some reason i fished em a lot today. ;
