one of those crazy days on the vedder.......did not get to the river untill 2:00......lost a coho on third cast......did not hit another fish for close to an hour......then things went nuts......in the next three and a half hours i hooked into well over 50 fish.....could not believe how many coho i lost.......of course the 4 i played to hand were all wild......biggest was pushing 12 lbs....all chromers......hooked well over 20 coho......released half dozen nice jacks, one pink, one huge chum......broke off 3 spring.....at one point i thought i had snagged and ended up pulling in someones gear, float etc and at the end of that was one very snakey chrome 7 or 8 lb ho.....crazy battle with my gear hooked to that gear and a coho on the end of that mess.....almost got him to shore but everything came apart......lots of coho rolling.......what a wild afternoon.....came home empty handed but could not have cared less after all that action......have got to stop using those small hooks

just a note about my report from yesterday.....water conditions were perfect and there were no crowds....as opposed to sat i fished the exact same runs for about 4 hours with huge crowds on the river and lower more clear water conditions and never touched a fish

I was at the lower river (train bridge) area today from 7:30-11:30 or so. It was quiet at the beginning and by 10:30 things were picking up. I managed 3 large stinky pinks and 2 wild coho. I came away empty handed :( but it was a beautiful morning to be on the river. I wish I could have stayed another hour or two.

Was fishing around Allison pool general area this morning but got skunked. Most of the prime fish highway had somebody working on them this morning :(. I did see a few cohoes on the move but most were locked-jawed for me. Visibility at 11:00a.m. was around 3-4feet. The river should shape up even better for tomorrow or through the weekend if the weather forecast stays true. Should be a good weekend for everyone

Hit the flow today. Upper section, I got my spring (very large) and released another lunker then I fished for Coho the rest of the day in mid river. Couple of guys around me kept hitting hatchery, all I kept getting were wild Coho; which I released. Lots of hits late in the day. I'll be out tomorrow.
