any reports from today on the flow? Is it worth fishing tomorrow at first light? Anyone seen any whites in the lower end? I'll be there tomorrow if anyone wants to meet up. Not sure if I should fish the canel, or the top end? Need some suggestions please

Got back around 6:30pm from an afternoon fish. Water still way down. Hasn't came up at all. Seen quite a few people out having fun but didn't see any fish. I fished a spot up at On the Way and had one hit but might of been a small trout or dolly. Did see some blood on the ground from this morning or yesterday so that's a good sign. First light will probably be best. Let me know how you do.

was out Saturday AM and i caught am extremely small Chinook

has anyone else ever caught a chinook about 13-14" long?

i thought it was a little trout but it was shaped like football and was super chrome with big black spots along the back i didnt touch it to check the gums but it was for sure a small spring

gorgeous little fish

other than that i saw a couple coho jump in one of those pools they dug but not biters and saw noone else get anything either

hopefully next weekend we start seeing some action out there eh guys

OH i did hear of a couple caught in the limit hole (one HO and one Spring) by a guy i saw at the store but thats all i heard about

hook i was fishing one of those dug out holes as well with my spinning rod just up from the train bridge! i was there about 2 till 3:30! i had a black touque on! were u the guy with the fly rod driving a green or maybe blue dakota with the blonde girlfriend that was wearing waders that wasn't fishing?

Those gravel pit "holes" often hold good numbers of coho in the early season when water levels are still low....I have caught quite a few on big silver spoons...you have to find them though, often you can see them by walking around the entire "pond" and looking intently into the water as they move around in there in response to movment around the shoreline....check it out! They obviously won't always be in there, but when you do find them, you can limit out in a hurry...

I caught one of those funny fish last year I had no idea it was a spring it just looked funny so I put it back. Would that be a jack or just a midget spring?

I went out for first light at a last minute mid river location. When I arived I noticed a few fish surfacing. Within minutes my new "stealth" float went down in a hurry, and I pulled in a 6-7 lbs. spring jack (football). Nice looking bright fish. I gently released him, and two casts later float gets burried again, this time the fish comes thrashing to the surface, and shakes the hook free. Several casts later my float goes for another dip, and I set the hook hard. I know this fish has got to be a big spring, cuz he's pealing line fast, and not coming to the surface. That one got away to after snaping my 10 lbs. leader. Had to leave after that, cuz I told the g/f I'd be home around 10 am. On my way out I had a look off the keith wilson bridge, to no surprize I see a bunch of beeko's trying to snag the few springs that are around. One jack a$$ had a bouncing betty on like he was still fishing for sockey. And this is my reason why I'm against the whole bottum bouncing thing. These fools think they can do this kind of fishing everywhere they go, and they ruin it for all the good rods out there, by putting the fish off the bite. :evil:

ya I know, but I had dead batteries in my camera, otherwise I woulda'. Pretty nice floats though, I would recomend them to any of you center pinners out there. only $4

if you read the stealth website, it says. if you catch a fish with these floats and submit the picture in to them and they USE YOUR PICTURE they will send you 3 floats, if they sent 3 floats to everyone that caught fish they would go out of business

also i was at the river today saw the fish jumping and dancing around all out lines just teasing us all

as i was leavin at the end of the day i was chattin with a guy gettin tips on spots cause i havent been there much anyways turns out he was a fisheries guy counting fish and checkin whos doin what but id never know it to look at the guy but it was good to see they are out there!!!!

stealth floats look like drennans but the line runs along the side of the stealth and has a spot on the top and bottom where the surgical tubing attached the line to the float

I was at the first recently dug pool next to the train bridge on saturday too. Saw some coho jumping, but nobody got a hit while I was there. Hey, hook... are you the guy who suggested to use roe and a float and wait for something to hit? With the blond girl? :wink:

i have seen guys use that technique before in those pools with fairly good success

we would have stayed longer but the lask of fish, the hunger and the wind trying to fly fish i just felt like it was time to go eat and head home

im hoping this little bit of rain has brought a good number of fish up cause im wanting to get that new pin rod/reel in action

Hook i wanted to say something like hi but i was well lets just say enjoying the sights!lol i wanna head up thisweekend but the truck is in the shop friday so no way to get to the river! guess i'll wait till the end of the month to get out again! oh and hook if your flavour of the week happends to have a friend next time your out i'll say hi and then some! man i'm itching to get out there again!!!!!
