Yeah, we're going too..........if there's no fish there's always Turkey! :beerchug:
Hi Fishon

Let me now where you are at and we can join you, it's going to be a gong show up there anyways. If we have no luck catching we will join you for the turkey.
no problem, Vedder River Campground..............ever use a "jig" set up in the Vedder? :wallbash:
Hi guys,
Any comments on how far up the Vedder one would have to go to get away from most of the 'maddening crowd'
?????
Hi cbarracl

This weekend is going to be crazy, I don't think there will be a spot that is not going to be crowded, I would
stay away from the Vedder Campground, they have a yearly fishing derby going on this saturday, I would try going up past the bridge on your way to Chilliwack lake. I personally try to find a spot where there is not to
many cars, but you may want to try up by the old prison I fished there last year and found a few good spots,
you just have to be prepared to do some walking to find the nice quit fishing holes. I hope this helps
SalmonMan2..what did you find out on the Vedder? Any fish biteing?
Hi Fishon

Never tried a jig myself on the Vedder, but anything is possible, if you do give it a try let me now how you do
Hi Dolsen

I have not been up to the Vedder yet this year, I'm heading up there this weekend, but I did have a buddy that was fishing the Vedder last week and he caught two coho's, he said that there are some pinks in the system
but we needed some more rain, which we are getting, so I hope that the fishing will be good if not I guess we can all join Fishon for some turkey dinner.
Okay thansk very much, appreciate the feedback, need all the help I can get ha!

Fishing in the outback was done with a stick of dynamite or a gill net ( alledgedly)
Fishin in northern Manitoba was sometimes done with dynamite, or so the Grandparents used to tell me. Yet they had 13 kids and he was a trapper who "fished" for the food and not for sport. ...The Vedder is full of fish and many are hammerin some beauties.
dont try the campground!!!! i tried to go through the campground last november and was chased down by the crazy guy who runs it and his dog. they barreled through the woods and converged on my truck. he was panting and wooly and really extreme. through his fatigued breath he told us that we would have to pay to park there, 10 dollars. that is a far cry since you can walk from the parking lot and find the same location. has anyone encountered that crazy fellow?

Ah, yes. The "CIL Lure". ;D
I was at the vedder on wednesday: it was blown, and visibility was very low. Should be teasy game when the water level drops and the water becomes more clear.

What part of "Fishing Reports Region 2 - Lower Mainland" don't you get. It's great to have all you new members, but for goodness sake try to look up reportsw on your o\wn, not just post a question about current conditions, because you are planning on going out in the next few days. Many of us on the forum have worked for quite a long time, paying our dues, walking rivers and searching around and are not big fans of fisherman who think that all they have to do is ask where the fish are, and expect that we are going to spew out everything it has taken us long, hard work to acquire. At least show enough initiative to look for the readily available info. Read this thread please: http://www.bcfishingreports.com/forum/index.php?topic=4666.0

I have encountered this wild man you speak of! But we already knew that he charged $10 to park right next to the river. Small price to pay and i do beleave (correct me if i'm wrong) He's liable for any break in or damage to your car/truck?
If i fish that part of the river i always park in the campgroung Short walk to the river from there!

CK
paying to park on a river bank is like paying for fire wood in B.C. it should not have to be done. somebody is making a quick buck i figure.
park closes oct 31 so you will have to park outside on the street.
