I'm up in Vernon this weekend and will be taking my fishing gear. What's there for lakes within a half hour of the city that would suit a belly boat? I'd also be open to a little river fishing too.

Outside of vernon within 30 min's is Bardolph, Becker, King Edward, Kalamalka, Okanagan, Swan.But if you wanna spend an hour or so to get somewhere there are about 40 - 60 lakes. Do you have 4 wheel drive? The olny good river fishing is about an hour away towards cherryville. The start of the sushwap river below sugar lake is your best bet but remember the rivers dont open untill the 1st of july.
