Does anyone know of a company that has wader rentals in or around Victoria? A friend of mine wants to get out on the river some time this season, but he doesn't have much gear.

I think he's 6'3". Too tall for my boots.

i have a couple spares but a little small for your friend, size 10.5. hes fit mine but mine are on life #9 and only have about a month to live . time for me to plan the trip up to sea tux.

Have your friend try Sports Rent at 1950 Government Street,ph 385-7368. A buddy of mine rented some 2 years ago, and I think that is where he went. Failing that, both Walmart and Canadian Tire sell Nylon boot top waders for around$50. They aren't breathables, but they will do the trick.

Thanks guys. No one in town rents waders, not even sports rent. The only place I found is in Sooke. I'm going to go for the Can Tire Specials. It's probably a good idea to have spares anyway.
