Subject: Invitation to a Conversation on Water Governance

The BC Ministry of Environment, Fraser Basin Council, the Living Rivers Trust Fund, Georgia Basin and Fisheries and Oceans Canada are hosting Water Governance Workshops:

February 12 Langley
February 27 Nanaimo
March 4 Prince George
March 13 Kelowna

Sustainable water management in BC is an important priority. The purpose of the workshops is to share information and explore opportunities for advancing water governance in British Columbia. Productive dialogue on challenges and solutions will be the central focus of the workshops. On the ground experiences of those who deal with water-related decision making will be discussed and considered against the backdrop of current academic knowledge on water governance. Your shared perspectives at these workshops will help inform future provincial policy direction.

Further details of these workshops is provided in the attached Invitation.

We would ask that this information be shared with appropriate persons within your organization.

Deadline for registration is January 28, 2008 - a full Registration Form is also attached for your reference.
