Thinking of heading up to maybe Tunkwa / Lac Le Juene area this weekend. In the past I've always stayed at one of the two inns in Logan Lake. Now that I've got a truck my options have opened up to camping or sleeping in the truck. I would be interested in what you guys do and if you have any tips on good locations. It would be nice to get off the water at the end of the day and find others who are doing the same thing.

i jsut camp at the campsite. it gets windy so try to set up with the truck taking the wind up and over your tent/tarp, trust me it helps  it didnt use to be that bad but the pine beetle has destroyed ALL the trees around there :'( :'( almost disgusting from what it used to look like there. we camped at Leighton last year to try and get out of the wind HA HA didnt work and we were the last site closest to the hill and made no difference, it howled and blew stuff down once. but never got us off the water

Depends on the time of year, this time of year low to mid elevation lakes will me your best bet, maybe below 1200 meters or so. The Kane Valley is pretty cool and has some decent camping options, as is the area around Roche.

As the year progresses you will want to start hitting higher lakes like the Chataway group, the Highland Valley lakes or maybe the Connector lakes all of wich can provide good camping and decent fishing.
