thx for your info. i do have a chart but i didnt think that these were "actual" places i thought they were just fishing spot names. after looking more closely at the chart i have found them.

Has there been any reports from down in this area lately?

thx

Fishey,
Thrasher Rock is off the NE corner of Gabriola Island. Lat-49.09.00 Long-123.39.00. You will see it on your chart.

Polier Pass is located on the north end of Galiano Island. It is the pass that runs between Galiano and Valdez Island.

cheers,
Brian

Fishey,
Generally, the ebb (out going ) tide you fish near the marker on Thrasher to the Porlier side. And the Naniamo side, Grandby bluffs on the flood. Fish where the most pack of boats are, look for Silver Blue Charters, he knows what he's doing. There are some defined spots but to detailed to get into.
Good Luck
Hope you have a good crossing, check your weather....

I got skunked South of Thrasher Sunday on the flood and NW of there at the Grande on the ebb. We hit the South side first because the NW wind was very ugly on the morning, then when it calmed out we moved to the Grande. Not a bite all day. Another wave may be along soon though.

We also got skunked Saturday around T10 on the ebb from around 11 until 3. Should have known better. The ebb usually sucks at T10, or maybe tried out deeper.
