check the gofishbc website for stocking dates of the local lakes. Pick the one that they stocked the latest. Trouble is with this cold weather coming they may freeze over.
There are lots of lakes in the area that should have fish in them this time of year! Buntzen, Mike, Roley, Sayers, Hayword, Latimier lakes to name a few. There are also some great lakes in the Squamish and Whistler area, some of those might be frozen! Im sure some of the members here can add to the list! :)

 Rick
The last I herd the gates to Rolley lake where closed for the winter. It also may have ice on it. Lafarge lake in Coquitlam is also a good one and during the last stocking they had put trout in there from frisken lake. These are bigger fish upto 6lbs I believe. It is a trial to see if this will increase the fishing experience for those that fish it. They did this as Frisken lake has a large number of winter kill so they figured they might as well transplant them before they die. I have not of any caught so they must still be in there. Hit the sunny areas of the lakes as that will be the warmest part of the lake. Usually the north east corners. Lafarge has easy access with a path all the way around and parking really close.
Thanks guys
I think im going to try lafarge lake next weekend
I would try rice lake in North Van(I have caught some decentfish there in the past). The dock goes out fairly deep I would bust a hole in the ice by the dock and jig some bait.(I doubt the ice would be walkable, I'm not even sure If there is any.
Lakes in whistler are frozen for sure. have been since mid december!
Latimer no longer has fish in it,at least that is what I heard.
Somebody said that Sasamat lake was good

thats those stupiid builders faults they drained the lake :wallbash: I saw a brood stocker caught out of Green timbers so it's worth a shot although it's in surrey. This was about a few weeks ago.
Wow!! Frisken lake has awsome rainbows!! If they put a bunch in lafarge lake I would try there first! I caught some real nice fish out of Frisken last summer. There is bait ban on Frisken, but not on lafarge, I think your chances of a big one at Lafarge has increased largely!!!!

Nope Como lake is for the under 16 and seniors. Lafarge is fair game to all.
pretty sure they took the age restriction of Como lake as well because it descriminatory or something. if you drive you can try Green Timbers it fishes pretty good in the Spring/Summer but i have never fished it this late in the year. my biggest out of there was 5lbs and i have had several between 2-4 but most are the little 14-16inch guys but they are still loads of fun on a 5wt. I use this lake mainly as somewhere to go after work to relax and hone my fly fishing before i head up into the interior. The fish here can be VERY picky so brign several things to toss at them. I remember one day i went through the whole fly box and could only manage a couple fish :'( then a coupld hours later i couldnt go wrong, i hate it when fishing is like that it drives me crazy. LOL
From the Synopsis for Como Lake:

Age restricted… you may fish in these waters only if you are less than 16 years of age (residents under 16 do not need a licence to fish - see page 6), or are in possession of a valid Non-Tidal Angling Licence indicating either B.C. Senior or B.C. Disabled.

NOPE! There are a number of lakes that are restricted to anglers under sixteen, over 65 and disabled anglers. These are almost all in urban locales and are protected to provide angling opportunities for thos anglers who cannot easily access other waters. Check out page 5 of your current regulations.
Is mike lake fishable in the winter?
