So it's my birthday today and the fiance says to me ... you should go fishing tomorrow for your birthday

so the question is where to go?

trout, salmon or early steel?

any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not much happening right now...
But if i were determined to go out tommorrow and didn't have a boat i'd probably walk the Vedder...
If i had a boat and was willing to brave the temperatures i'd either target winter springs in english bay or sturgeon in the mission area

Cutties are good right now as the salmon carcas's are around, try fishing egg patterns or flesh patterns, in back waters of the Fraser, do lots of walking and look for signs of cutties, if you see one rise there is more, if you dont see any rising, dont waist your time casting , keep hunting !!!

Dewdney Slough is a good place, I have caught a few in there long time ago. Harrison has good Cutt fihsing in there as well .

happy B-day EZ

For my B-day the lady took me up to the cariboo (pics in trout porn thread) and we had a blast hitting bows on a nice walk and wade adventure (my birth day is in Aug so I have a few more options), sounds like we are both very lucky.

Do not feel too bad I was out hunting cutts today as well and had nothing to show for it either (except for a couple small whitefish) nice chiily day to be out though.

tight lines,

Pat
