I am looking for a car topper boat to throw on top of my 4runner to do some small lake fishing this summer, and was looking for some advice!! Fiberglass or Aluminum?? I would like probably a 12' boat so me and the wife can go fishing or with a buddy.. any one have one for sale for a good price???

go with an aluminum, alot lighter to get on and off the top of a 4runner, fiberglass boats are very heavy.

Aluminum all the way! I had a car topper before and it was pretty easy to take on/off.
The buy&sell has alot of 12 footers for sale right now.

Thanks Guys...well aluminum was what I was leaning towards, now the next question...whats the best type of rack setup for a 4runner?? My father-in-law works with metal and I was thinking of building a contraption that would plug into my hitch and then be used as a rack for the back end of the boat...its a pretty good idea, only problem is he lives in the prairies, so anyother suggestions out there??

does your 4-runner have a removable top??? if so make a tubular frame that most pickups have with canopies and put the top over it.
