Managed to hit White Lake on Saturday, May 26th. Slow action in the morning, mainly chromies and hare's ear nymphs were getting the odd bite. Right around 12:30 however, a hatch started and the dry fly action was furious. The water was so clear you could see +4lb rainbows rocketing up from the bottom to take the fly. Small mayfly patterns and good old Tom Thumb worked well. Fought more scrappy fish than I was able to land and release, but was a good time anyways.
And to top the day off, I was in charge of a 10' long bbq for a golf tournament that evening. Cooked +/- 115 sirloins, and lots of golfers would come up and say "that looks like hot work, how about if I buy you a beer"
Not a bad day in the Shuswaps eh!
